An injection moulded (US: molded) LED neon strip is formed by hot-melting silicone directly around the FPCB in a single shot, instead of sliding the board into a pre-extruded tube. There is no air gap and no glue seam, so water has no path in and the diffuser sits at a fixed distance from every LED — which is what keeps the light line even over a 20 m façade run.

Why is a seamless injection neon strip more reliable than an extruded tube?

Extruded neon relies on adhesive to bond the cover, the tube and the end cap; UV and thermal cycling eventually open that bond and the run fogs from the inside.
