Photometric Performance — CCT × CRI Efficacy Matrix

Peak measured luminous efficacy: 124.5 lm/W at 6500K, Ra 80, ErP energy class E (Grade DL (2nd Tier) · CCT 3-Anchor · 11W/m).

All values are measured at the stated power density and ambient 25 °C, reported as luminous efficacy in lumens per watt (lm/W), luminous flux per metre (lm/m) and the corresponding EU ErP (2019/2015) energy class.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the common applications for the 608-CCT COB LED strip light?

This COB LED strip is ideal for accent lighting, under-cabinet lighting, display cases, architectural outlines, and retail environments where seamless, spot-free illumination is crucial.

Does the 608-CCT COB strip require additional diffusers for uniform light?

No, thanks to COB encapsulation, this strip provides a uniform, dot-free light emission with a 180° beam angle, eliminating the need for extra diffusers or covers.

What power supply is compatible with the 608-CCT COB LED strip?

The 608-CCT COB LED strip operates on a 24V constant voltage (CV) system, requiring a compatible 24V DC LED driver.

Can the 608-CCT COB LED strip be cut and reconnected?

Yes, this strip is cuttable every 26.3mm and can be reconnected using appropriate connectors or soldering, allowing for custom lengths to fit specific project requirements.

Is a COB LED strip better than an SMD strip for dot-free lighting?

Yes for continuous linear light. A COB LED strip spreads phosphor over the whole surface, so there are no visible dots even without a deep diffuser, while a standard SMD strip needs 240 LEDs/m plus a frosted cover to get close. Choose SMD only when you need higher output per watt or RGB pixel control.

Which aluminum channel should I use with this COB LED strip?

Match the channel inner width to the strip PCB width — 8mm and 10mm COB strips fit DENO 10x10mm, 12x8mm and 17.5x7mm profiles. A surface mount channel suits shelves and ceilings, a recessed trimless channel suits plaster-in cove lines, and the aluminum body also acts as the heat sink the strip needs.

CCT Tunable White COB LED Strip — Buyer Questions

What is the difference between dual white and dim to warm?

Dual white lets you set any colour temperature independently of brightness; dim-to-warm follows the dimmer, cooling at full output and warming as it dims. Specify dual white CCT for offices, hotels and circadian schedules, and dim-to-warm where the room should feel like halogen at low level.

How do you wire a tunable white COB LED strip?

Three conductors: a shared 24V (or 12V) positive and one negative per white channel, driven by a 2-channel CCT controller or a DALI DT8 gateway. Total wattage is the sum of both channels, so size the driver for full output on both, not for one.

Does a CCT COB strip stay dot-free at every colour temperature?

Yes. Both channels sit under the same phosphor sheet, so a mid-point 4000K mix looks as continuous as either extreme. That is the practical advantage over an SMD CCT tape, where alternating warm and cool packages can show a faint two-tone pattern at close range.

Where is tunable white COB tape specified?

Hotel rooms, meeting rooms, showrooms and homes with circadian schedules — anywhere one installed line must serve daytime task light and evening ambience. The 5 mm 12V CCT board also fits mirror and vanity work where the light must flatter skin tones at 3000K and read accurately at 5000K.

Single Colour COB LED Strip — Buyer Questions

Which colour temperature should a single colour COB LED strip be?

Pick 2700K–3000K for hospitality and residential warmth, 4000K for offices and kitchens, and 6000K–6500K for retail, task and technical areas. DENO bins every single colour COB LED strip to SDCM ≤3 so two reels installed end to end read as one colour, and 1800K to 2400K amber options are available for façade and bar work.

What is the difference between CRI 90, CRI 95 and CRI 98 COB LED strip?

The gap is in the deep reds and the efficacy you trade for them. CRI 90 suits general architectural light, CRI 95 with R9 > 50 is the practical standard for retail and hospitality, and CRI 98 is specified where colour judgement matters — galleries, showrooms, cosmetics. Each step up costs roughly 5–10% in lumens per watt, so specify the grade the space actually needs.

Need more than 12W/m of dot-free light? Meet the SOB upgrade

COB LED strip is the reference for seamless, dot-free lines — but the shared phosphor layer caps most builds around 12W/m and a 5 m single feed. DENO's SOB series is the direct upgrade: the same continuous line on flip-chip dies and 105 µm copper, carrying 24W/m, CRI 95 and 15 m runs from one feed. Spec the COB range for coves and joinery; step up to SOB when the lux target or the run length says so.
