DENO LED Lighting

RGBW COB LED Strip — 840 LEDs/m, 4-in-1 Dot-Free

The RGBW COB LED strip from DENO LED integrates red, green, blue, and white diodes onto a flexible FPCB, delivering uniform, dot-free illumination for dynamic color and white light applications. Utilizing SCOB technology, these strips offer high color rendering (CRI >90) and precise color consistency (1 SDCM binning). Operating at 24V, they are suitable for architectural accent lighting, retail displays, and hospitality environments requiring versatile color control and efficient light distribution. Custom lengths and OEM/ODM options are available.

RGBW COB LED Strip — Buyer Questions

What is an RGBW COB LED strip?

An RGBW COB LED strip is a 4-in-1 dot-free tape: red, green and blue channels for colour plus a dedicated white channel for usable light, all under one continuous phosphor line. DENO builds it at up to 840 LEDs/m on a 24V board, so colour transitions look like moving light rather than a row of pixels.

Why choose RGBW instead of RGB for architectural lighting?

Because RGB white is not a usable white. Mixing red, green and blue gives a low-CRI, slightly greenish white that no client accepts for everyday light; the dedicated white die in an RGBW COB strip delivers a proper 3000K or 4000K at high CRI, so one installed line covers both scene colour and general lighting.

How is a 4-in-1 RGBW COB LED strip wired?

Five conductors — a shared positive and four negatives — into a 4-channel RGBW controller or a DMX512 decoder. Size the driver for all four channels at full output; on a 24V RGBW board that is typically 14–19W/m even though normal scenes draw far less.

Where is RGBW dot-free tape used in hospitality and retail?

In reception coves, bar fronts, feature walls and display joinery, where the space needs neutral white in daytime and branded colour at night. Because the line is dot-free, the strip can sit in a shallow reveal in full view without showing hardware.

Can RGBW COB strip be supplied with a custom white channel?

Yes. The white channel is specified per order — 2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 6500K, at CRI 90 or 95 — and amber 1800K–2200K is available for façade schemes. Minimum order quantities apply to non-standard whites.

Frequently asked questions

What are the primary advantages of an RGBW COB LED strip compared to traditional SMD RGBW strips?

RGBW COB LED strips offer superior light uniformity due to the dense, phosphor-coated SCOB array, eliminating visible hot spots or 'dotting' even in shallow profiles. This technology also provides a wider beam angle and enhanced color blending, making them ideal for applications requiring a continuous, homogeneous light line without additional diffusers.

What white light color temperatures are available for the 'W' component in the RGBW COB LED strip?

DENO LED's RGBW COB LED strips typically offer a dedicated white channel in standard color temperatures such as 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, or 6000K. This allows for the integration of warm, neutral, or cool white light alongside the full spectrum of RGB colors, providing greater versatility in lighting design and mood creation.

What are the typical cut unit lengths and maximum continuous run lengths for DENO LED's RGBW COB LED strips?

Typical cut unit lengths for our RGBW COB LED strips are 50mm or 100mm, allowing for precise installation. Maximum continuous run lengths are generally 5 meters at 24V to mitigate voltage drop, ensuring consistent brightness and color uniformity across the entire strip. Longer runs require parallel wiring or power injection.

Can DENO LED provide custom OEM/ODM solutions for RGBW COB LED strips, including specific FPCB designs or IP ratings?

Yes, as an OEM/ODM manufacturer, DENO LED specializes in custom solutions for rgbw cob led strip products. We can accommodate specific FPCB designs, custom lengths, unique power requirements, and various IP ratings (e.g., IP20, IP65, IP67) to meet project-specific demands. Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) apply for custom orders.
