22x12mm Recessed LED Channel with Flange — Deep Plaster-in Aluminum Profile

Model: DL-2212B HX-F

DL-2212B HX-F 22x12mm Recessed LED Channel with Flange — Deep Plaster-in Aluminum Profile — 24V, cuttable every 62.5mm, 10mm FPCB width, 2835 LEDs, 120 LEDs/m

Overview

The 22x12mm Recessed LED Channel (model DL-2212B HX-F) is a 6063 anodized aluminum LED profile — also searched as LED channel, LED extrusion or aluminum channel for LED strip lights — designed for Trimless Plaster-in installation. The housing works as a heat sink for 24V and 48V high-power LED strips, while the PC diffuser (frosted, milky or transparent) hides the LEDs and delivers dot-free, uniform light. It accepts LED strips from 5mm to 12mm PCB width and is supplied in 0.5m to 4m lengths, cut to custom sizes on request. Every channel ships with end caps, mounting clips and connectors, so installers can complete ceiling cove lighting, wall wash details and trimless architectural lines without extra hardware. Pair it with DENO high-density 240 LEDs/m SMD or COB strips for a completely spot-free line of light in architectural and commercial LED lighting projects.

Description

Extruded from premium AL6063-T5 alloy, this deep plaster-in aluminum profile delivers robust heat dissipation to protect sensitive LED strip lights. Designed for architectural lighting projects, the recessed flanged housing accommodates 10mm FPC LED strips with high densities of 120 LEDs/m or above. The deep channel geometry pairs with standard diffusers to eliminate visible diode spotting and generate a smooth, continuous linear lighting effect. Available for factory-direct wholesale project supply, this versatile aluminum housing comes equipped with dedicated end caps and secure mounting clips. Rigid AL6063-T5 construction protects internal components against environmental exposure across an operating temperature range of -25°C to 40°C.

Applications

  • Cove lighting & recessed ceiling lines — Mounts continuous LED strip runs into coves, ceiling recesses and drywall joints so the fixture reads as a clean line of light instead of a visible strip.
  • Heat management for high-power strips — The aluminium body acts as a heat sink, keeping LED junction temperature down and protecting lumen maintenance over the strip's rated life.
  • Shelf-edge & display-case lighting — Compact channel sections fit shelf edges, glass cabinets and display joinery where the strip must stay hidden but serviceable.
  • Diffused, dot-free finish — The frosted cover blends individual LEDs into an even line, which matters most on high-density and COB strips viewed at close range.

Pair With High-Power SMD LED Strips

The 6063 aluminum body acts as a heat sink, so this LED channel can safely run higher-wattage SMD LED strips — pair it with a high-lumen SMD strip and the frosted PC cover will deliver bright, evenly diffused light.

This channel accepts LED strips up to 10mm wide — its inner width leaves the 2mm clearance needed to seat the tape, so only strips at or below that width are listed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What LED strip width fits the 22x12mm Recessed LED Channel?

It fits LED strips from 5mm to 12mm PCB width, with 8mm and 10mm strips being the most common choice for this recessed led channel. Check the inner channel width on the drawing before ordering, and allow 0.5mm clearance for the strip adhesive.

Which diffuser should I choose — frosted, milky or transparent?

Choose frosted for the best balance of diffusion and output, milky when you need to fully hide LED dots at short viewing distance, and transparent only when maximum lumen output matters more than glare control. Frosted covers are the default for ceiling cove lighting, wall wash details and trimless architectural lines.

How is this aluminum profile installed?

It is plastered into drywall or a ceiling slot using the side flange, then skimmed flush for a trimless finish. Cut the recess to the channel width, fix with screws or clips every 400–500mm, and install the strip before closing the diffuser.

Can this LED channel be cut to custom lengths?

Yes. Standard lengths are 0.5m to 4m and the aluminum extrusion can be cut with a miter saw on site, or pre-cut to your project dimensions at the factory. Cut the LED strip only at its marked cutting unit so every segment still lights up.

Does the aluminum profile work as a heat sink for high-power strips?

Yes. The 6063 aluminum body conducts heat away from the FPCB and keeps the LED junction temperature down, which is required for 24V and 48V strips above roughly 14W/m. Running high-power strips without a channel shortens lumen maintenance and shifts colour over time.
