15x9.9mm Recessed LED Channel with Flange — Flush Mount Aluminum Profile

Model: DL-1510 HX-F

DL-1510 HX-F 15x9.9mm Recessed LED Channel with Flange — Flush Mount Aluminum Profile — 24V, cuttable every 62.5mm, 10mm FPCB width, 2835 LEDs, 120 LEDs/m

Overview

The 15x9.9mm Recessed LED Channel (model DL-1510 HX-F) is a 6063 anodized aluminum LED profile — also searched as LED channel, LED extrusion or aluminum channel for LED strip lights — designed for Trimless Plaster-in installation. The housing works as a heat sink for 24V and 48V high-power LED strips, while the PC diffuser (frosted, milky or transparent) hides the LEDs and delivers dot-free, uniform light. It accepts LED strips from 5mm to 12mm PCB width and is supplied in 0.5m to 4m lengths, cut to custom sizes on request. Every channel ships with end caps, mounting clips and connectors, so installers can complete ceiling cove lighting, wall wash details and trimless architectural lines without extra hardware. Pair it with DENO high-density 240 LEDs/m SMD or COB strips for a completely spot-free line of light in architectural and commercial LED lighting projects.

Description

15×9.9mm With Flange Aluminum LED Strip Channel This LED Strip Profilet is a flanged LED aluminum profile designed for narrow, recessed decorative lighting applications. With a slim structure and clean linear appearance, this LED Strip Profilet is ideal for modern interior lighting projects that require precision installation and refined finishing. The profile features flanges on both sides, allowing it to cover slot cutting tolerances after installation. This design ensures cleaner edges, reduces visible gaps, and improves the overall visual quality of recessed lighting systems. As a professional LED Strip Profilet, it is especially suitable for furniture panels, gypsum boards, and architectural slots. The narrow internal channel is engineered to fit 10 mm LED strips, supporting common LED strip types while maintaining a compact profile size. Made from high-quality aluminum, this LED Strip Profilet enhances heat dissipation to extend LED strip lifespan and reduce light decay. At the same time, it protects LED strips from dust, accidental touch, and damage during cleaning. Applications: cabinet lighting, recessed ceiling or gypsum board light slots, wall and background wall linear lighting, stair lighting, skirting boards, and corridor lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What LED strip width fits the 15x9.9mm Recessed LED Channel?

It fits LED strips from 5mm to 12mm PCB width, with 8mm and 10mm strips being the most common choice for this recessed led channel. Check the inner channel width on the drawing before ordering, and allow 0.5mm clearance for the strip adhesive.

Which diffuser should I choose — frosted, milky or transparent?

Choose frosted for the best balance of diffusion and output, milky when you need to fully hide LED dots at short viewing distance, and transparent only when maximum lumen output matters more than glare control. Frosted covers are the default for ceiling cove lighting, wall wash details and trimless architectural lines.

How is this aluminum profile installed?

It is plastered into drywall or a ceiling slot using the side flange, then skimmed flush for a trimless finish. Cut the recess to the channel width, fix with screws or clips every 400–500mm, and install the strip before closing the diffuser.

Can this LED channel be cut to custom lengths?

Yes. Standard lengths are 0.5m to 4m and the aluminum extrusion can be cut with a miter saw on site, or pre-cut to your project dimensions at the factory. Cut the LED strip only at its marked cutting unit so every segment still lights up.

Does the aluminum profile work as a heat sink for high-power strips?

Yes. The 6063 aluminum body conducts heat away from the FPCB and keeps the LED junction temperature down, which is required for 24V and 48V strips above roughly 14W/m. Running high-power strips without a channel shortens lumen maintenance and shifts colour over time.

Will I still see LED dots through the diffuser?

No, if you match the strip density to the channel depth. Use at least 120 LEDs/m with a frosted cover; a 240 LEDs/m high-density or COB strip gives a completely dot-free line of light in this profile.

What accessories are included?

Each recessed led channel ships with end caps, mounting clips and a PC diffuser; corner connectors, magnetic clips and power feed caps are available on request for OEM and project orders.

Recessed & Plaster-In LED Channel — Buyer Questions

What is a recessed LED channel?

A recessed LED channel sits inside the ceiling or wall so only the diffuser is visible. Flanged bodies such as the 22x12mm and 14.2x9.8mm profiles rest on the plasterboard face and are the fastest to install; plaster-in versions are skimmed over for a trimless finish with no visible frame at all. Both need a routed slot slightly wider than the body so the flange can sit flat.

How much ceiling depth does a plaster-in LED profile need?

Take the profile height plus roughly 5mm of clearance for wiring. The shallow 17x7mm body only needs about 12mm behind the board, the 15.2x10.4mm slim profile about 15mm, and the deep 22x12mm body about 17mm — which is why the slim bodies are specified for suspended ceilings with limited plenum, and the deep bodies where heat dissipation matters more than depth.

Which recessed profile suits a 5mm micro LED strip?

The 8.89x7.79mm mini recessed body takes 4/5mm FPCB and is the smallest trimless housing in the range. It is the one to use for narrow shadow gaps, joinery reveals and slim wall-wash lines where a standard 10mm slot would look heavy, and it still gives the frosted cover enough gap to smooth a 120 LEDs/m tape.

Can a drywall LED channel be installed after the ceiling is finished?

A flanged body can: cut the slot, drop the profile in and the flange covers the cut edge. A true plaster-in extrusion has to go in before skimming, because the mesh wing is bedded into the compound. Plan feed points at the same time — a recessed run is far harder to re-open than a surface line, so bring the driver cable to one end or the mid-point before closing the ceiling.

What accessories come with a trimless LED profile?

Each bar ships with end caps (solid and cable-entry), a frosted PC cover as standard, and mounting clips or spring brackets depending on the body. Opal and clear covers, corner joints and continuous-run couplers are available on request, and DENO supplies the matched LED strip cut to the same length so the assembly arrives ready to install.
