Description

This high density 2835 LED strip light features 256 LEDs per meter on a 15mm PCB for seamless architectural lighting. Operating on DC 24V constant voltage circuitry, the strip offers precise installation with cutting intervals of 31.25mm every eight LEDs. Engineered with 3oz copper foil and 99.9-percent pure gold wire encapsulation, the design ensures stable performance across demanding thermal environments. Providing fully dimmable output and a 120-degree beam angle, we support OEM custom lengths and factory-direct wholesale project supply.

We use 99.99% gold wire, large-size chips, and thickened FPCB, backed by a 5-year warranty.

High-Power LED Strip: Heat Dissipation & Aluminum Channel Guide

At up to 15W/m, 5229 is a high-power SMD LED strip. Above roughly 14.4W/m the tape can no longer shed its own heat through the FPC alone — an aluminum channel is part of the luminaire, not an accessory.

Why high-wattage strips need a heat sink

  • Aluminum conducts heat roughly 30× faster than the plastics, MDF or gypsum a strip is usually stuck to, so a bare high-power run traps heat under the tape.
  • LED lifetime (LM-80 / TM-21) is driven by solder-point temperature Tc. Keeping Tc inside the datasheet limit — DENO strips are rated Tc ≤ 75°C — is what preserves the rated L70 lifetime and colour stability.
  • Never run 14.4W/m or more coiled on the reel, inside a sealed plastic diffuser, or directly on wood, wallpaper or foam.

Sizing rule: FPC width vs channel inner width

  • Channel inner width ≥ FPC width + 2mm. This strip is 15mm wide, so it needs at least 17mm of inner width.
  • The 2mm clearance absorbs extrusion tolerance and lets the tape be seated or replaced without scraping the side walls or the wiring.
  • A frosted or opal PC cover then diffuses the higher lumen output into an even, dot-free line instead of visible hot spots.

Aluminum channels that fit this strip

Recommended LED Channels

Mount this LED strip in a DENO LED aluminum profile for heat dissipation, physical protection and diffused, dot-free output.

This strip is 15mm wide, so it needs a channel with at least 17mm inner width (15mm + 2mm clearance). Every profile below meets that.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key specifications of 5229?

5229: 2835, 256 LEDs/m, DC 24V, 15mm PCB, 3oz copper FPCB, cuttable 8LEDs/31.25mm. Full photometric data, wiring diagrams and test reports are available in the downloads section of this page.

How long can a single run of this ultra high density LED strip be?

Maximum single run for this model is 5M. Feeding from both ends or using a mid-point tap halves the effective distance per segment, so a ultra high density LED strip can cover twice that length on one circuit when wired accordingly.

Can DENO customise this ultra high density LED strip for a project?

Yes. DENO manufactures the High Density LED Strips series as an OEM and ODM supplier: reel length, colour temperature, CRI grade, PCB width, waterproofing and private labelling can all be specified. Request a quote for lead time and project pricing.

How much can a high efficacy LED strip cut energy use?

Moving from a typical 100 lm/W strip to a 180 to 200 lm/W high lumen LED strip roughly halves the wattage needed for the same lumen output. Over a long commercial run this also lowers the required driver size and helps the installation reach a better ErP energy class.

How many LEDs per metre does a dotless LED strip need?

Visible dots depend on LED pitch, diffuser distance and transmittance. Above roughly 480 LEDs/m most diffusers give a continuous line at 10 mm depth, and the 700 LEDs/m high density LED strip stays dot free even behind a shallow, highly transmissive lens.
