What is a surface mount LED channel used for?

A surface mounted LED profile screws or clips straight onto a finished ceiling, wall, shelf or cabinet carcass — no routing, no plaster work. It is the default choice for retrofits, under-cabinet lines, linear ceiling runs and workshop task lighting, and the U shape body means the tape can be replaced later without touching the building fabric.

Which LED channel width should I pick — 10mm, 15mm, 20mm or 25mm?

Size the body from the strip and the beam you want. 10x10mm and 12x8mm bodies suit 6–8mm tape in cabinets; 15x15mm and 17x15mm handle 10mm tape with real heat sinking; 20mm and 25mm bodies such as 25x14.5mm and 20x30mm take 12–15mm boards, double rows and high-output runs. A wider aperture also softens the line, which helps when the tape sits close to the cover.

Is there a 48V LED channel for long corridor runs?

Yes. The 15x15mm, 20x05mm and 20x07mm bodies are built around DENO's 48V tape, where a single feed carries far longer than a 24V run before voltage drop bites. That combination is what makes uninterrupted corridor, atrium and warehouse lines practical — one driver, one feed point, and an aluminum body that keeps the higher load cool.

Which surface profile gives a dotless line with 240 LEDs/m tape?

The slim, wide-aperture bodies do it best: 19.1x8mm, 25x7mm, 17.5x7mm and 20x10mm all pair with 240 LEDs/m SMD tape whose pitch is short enough that the frosted cover reads as one continuous band. If the sightline is under a metre — a shelf edge or a handrail — step up to a COB or SOB strip instead of adding depth.

How is a surface mounted aluminum profile fixed in place?

Three methods, all supplied: screw the base directly through the channel, snap the body onto pre-fixed spring clips for a fastener-free face, or use the flat low-profile bodies (20x01mm, 20x02mm) with structural tape where drilling is not allowed. Clip mounting is the one to specify when the run may need to come down for service.
