Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum continuous run length for this SOB LED strip?
This ultra-long LED strip features a special design allowing for a maximum continuous run of 10 meters with power fed from only one side, simplifying installation.
What are the key benefits of the SOB technology in this strip?
SOB (System-on-Board) technology ensures high bending reliability and a wider 180° beam angle, coupled with excellent flexibility and strong bending resistance for diverse applications.
Is this LED strip suitable for dimming, and what voltage does it require?
Yes, this LED strip is dimmable. It operates on a 24V input voltage with constant current (IC regulated) for stable performance.
Can this specific LED strip model be customized for higher power outputs?
Yes, while featuring built-in chip protection stents for higher power, special power requirements beyond the standard range are customizable upon request to DENO LED.
Is this SOB strip light also called FOB, S-COB or COB Pro strip light?
Yes. Model 15904 belongs to the DENO SOB (Spot on Board) family, which the market also calls FOB strip light, S-COB strip light or COB Pro strip light. All three names describe the same dot-free chip-on-board LED strip construction, so you can quote it under whichever term your project specification uses.
Why choose this S-COB strip light over a standard COB LED strip?
Compared with conventional COB LED strip, DENO SOB / FOB strip light supports higher power up to 24W/m instead of roughly 12W/m, CRI 95 and full-spectrum options, SDCM <=3 colour consistency, and single-end power feed at 5m, 10m and 15m without visible head-to-tail brightness loss, with higher luminous efficacy and lumen output.
Long Run COB LED Strip (SOB) — Buyer Questions
How long can a long run COB LED strip go on one power feed?
The constant-current SOB long-run boards hold rated output for 15 m from a single end and 30 m when fed from both ends; the 36V and 48V versions go further again. Ordinary 24V constant-voltage COB tape is limited to about 5 m before the tail visibly dims.

Does a constant current LED strip really have no brightness drop head to tail?
Each short segment carries its own current regulator, so it draws the current it needs regardless of the volt drop reaching it. Measured head to tail on a 15 m single-feed run the difference is a few percent — invisible on a cove line, unlike the 20–30% fall on unregulated tape.

Can I order 20m or 30m LED strip runs with no voltage drop?
Yes. 20 m and 30 m continuous installations are built either as a both-ends feed on 24V or as a single feed on 36V/48V. DENO supplies the reel cut to the exact run length so a corridor or façade line has no mid-run joint at all.

Why is a single-end powered LED strip 24V preferred on site?
One feed means one driver location, one cable pull and one point of maintenance. On refurbishment work where the ceiling is already closed at the far end, a single-end powered 15 m run is often the only practical option — and it removes the second driver from the cost plan.
Is an ultra long dot-free LED strip suitable for cove and architectural projects?
That is exactly what it is built for. Long continuous coves, atrium perimeters and façade lines need both an unbroken luminous line and stable brightness end to end; a dot-free constant-current board delivers both, and roll-to-roll production means no solder joints to fail inside a sealed cove.

SOB is the upgraded generation of the COB LED strip
Every SOB board on this page starts from the classic COB recipe — one continuous phosphor line, zero visible dots — and rebuilds it on flip-chip dies and thick copper. The result keeps the COB look but runs to 24W/m, holds CRI 95 and stays within SDCM ≤3 over the full reel. If your project is comfortable at 4–12W/m, the classic COB range remains the economical choice; if you need double the output or a 15 m single-feed run, you are already on the right page.
