Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages of 48V input for this LED strip?
The 48V input allows for significantly longer continuous runs (up to 15 meters) with minimal voltage drop and light uniformity, simplifying installation.
Can this SOB LED strip be dimmed?
Yes, this SOB LED strip is fully dimmable, allowing for versatile lighting control and mood setting in various commercial environments.
Is this LED strip suitable for outdoor use or wet environments?
This specific model (15926) is designed for indoor, dry applications. For outdoor or wet environments, please inquire about our IP-rated versions.
What is the minimum bending diameter for this flexible strip?
The minimum bending diameter for this flexible SOB LED strip is Φ60mm, enabling creative installations around curves and architectural features.
Is this SOB strip light also called FOB, S-COB or COB Pro strip light?
Yes. Model 15926 belongs to the DENO SOB (Spot on Board) family, which the market also calls FOB strip light, S-COB strip light or COB Pro strip light. All three names describe the same dot-free chip-on-board LED strip construction, so you can quote it under whichever term your project specification uses.
Why choose this S-COB strip light over a standard COB LED strip?
Compared with conventional COB LED strip, DENO SOB / FOB strip light supports higher power up to 24W/m instead of roughly 12W/m, CRI 95 and full-spectrum options, SDCM <=3 colour consistency, and single-end power feed at 5m, 10m and 15m without visible head-to-tail brightness loss, with higher luminous efficacy and lumen output.
48V LED Strip — Buyer Questions
How long is a 48V long run LED strip — 30m or 50m?
The 48V SOB boards carry 300 LEDs/m at 4.8–19.2W/m and hold rated output over a 15 m single feed, 30 m fed from both ends. Runs beyond that are built as multiple 30 m circuits from one driver position rather than one electrically continuous line.

48V vs 24V LED strip — which should I specify?
24V is right for anything under about 10 m and has the widest choice of drivers and controllers. 48V halves the current again, so it wins on long architectural and commercial lines where feed positions are expensive: fewer power supplies, thinner cable, less volt drop.

Is the 48V version constant current with no voltage drop?
The 15927 is the constant-current build — each 50 mm segment regulates itself, so brightness is flat head to tail. The 15926 is the constant-voltage equivalent for shorter runs on an existing 48V supply.

Why do commercial and architectural jobs use 48V dot-free strip?
Airport concourses, retail malls, atrium perimeters and long façade details all need continuous illuminated lines measured in tens of metres. A 48V dot-free single-feed run gives an unbroken visual line with a fraction of the electrical infrastructure of 24V tape.
Is 48V still extra-low voltage for installation purposes?
48V DC sits at the top of the SELV band and is still treated as extra-low voltage, so it keeps the installation advantages of low-voltage tape while behaving electrically much more like a mains-fed linear fixture over long distances.

SOB is the upgraded generation of the COB LED strip
Every SOB board on this page starts from the classic COB recipe — one continuous phosphor line, zero visible dots — and rebuilds it on flip-chip dies and thick copper. The result keeps the COB look but runs to 24W/m, holds CRI 95 and stays within SDCM ≤3 over the full reel. If your project is comfortable at 4–12W/m, the classic COB range remains the economical choice; if you need double the output or a 15 m single-feed run, you are already on the right page.
