Are high CRI LED strips available in 24V, and do they dim without changing colour?
Yes. All five full spectrum boards are built as 24V dimmable LED strip, which halves the current of a 12V build and allows 5 m from a single feed or 10 m fed from both ends. They dim down to 1% on PWM, 0-10V, DALI and TRIAC drivers with a measured colour shift under 0.002 duv, because the white is produced by one fixed phosphor blend rather than mixed from separate colour channels the way RGBW white is.
Why 24V is the default for full spectrum work
At equal wattage a 24V board draws half the current of a 12V board, which quarters the I²R loss in the copper. On a 14.4 W/m tape that is the difference between a visible far-end drop at 5 m and a run that measures within 3% end to end. Full spectrum tape is usually specified where the lighting is being judged by eye, so a brightness gradient along a cove is not acceptable — 24V, 2 oz copper and dual-end feeding are the standard combination.
Where the run exceeds what constant-voltage architecture supports, the 12 mm and 20 mm constant-current versions hold output flat per segment, and 48V variants extend a single feed further again on façade and landscape lines.
Dimming behaviour and flicker
Because white is produced by one phosphor blend rather than mixed from colour channels, the chromaticity stays put as the level drops: measured shift from 100% to 1% is under 0.002 duv. That is the practical advantage over RGB-derived white, which drifts as soon as it leaves its calibration point.
Flicker is a driver property, not a spectral one. Specify at least 1 kHz PWM for general work and 16 kHz or analogue CC dimming for camera-facing installations; on DENO constant-current segments Pst LM measures below 1.0 and SVM below 0.4, which clears the ErP flicker limits and reads clean on a rolling shutter.
