Can you get LED strip lights longer than 32 feet in one run?
Yes. 32 feet (10 m) is where consumer tape stops, not where the physics stops. DENO supplies anything past that as one uncut board — 65.6 ft (20 m) and 100 ft (30 m) are stock lengths, and 164 ft (50 m) is produced to order on 48V. The single condition is electrical: past 32 feet the build needs constant-current regulation and heavy copper, otherwise the last third of the run reads dimmer than the first.
What changes past the 32 foot mark
Below 32 feet a good 24V board with 2 oz copper can be fed from one end and still measure within a few percent end to end. Beyond it, the accumulated current in the trace makes that impossible without either regulation or a second feed. That is the point at which DENO switches the design from constant voltage to per-segment constant current, and often from 24V to 36V or 48V.
Connectors are the other change. Joining two reels with a solderless connector at 20 m puts the full downstream current through a spring contact — a hot spot and a long-term reliability risk. Supplying one continuous board removes the joint entirely.
Specifying a 65.6 ft or 100 ft run
Give the factory the finished dimension rather than a reel count, and the board is cut and pre-wired to that length before it ships:
- Exact finished length in metres or feet, plus lead-wire length at each end
- Feed strategy — one end, both ends or a mid-point tap
- Ambient temperature and mounting substrate (aluminium above ~20 W/m)
- IP class if any part of the run is exposed
- Cut unit tolerance the millwork can accept
