Description

3528 100 ft-class LED strip lights — 36V DC, 90 LEDs/m on a 12mm, 3 oz copper board, cuttable every 100mm, CCT 2700-6500K, Ra≥80, IP20/IP65/IP67/IP68 options, constant-current circuit. Buyer decision: 36V plus CC regulation drives 30 m (98.4 ft) from one feed and 60 m from two — a genuine 100 ft run without mid-run power. With IP65-68 versions it is the outdoor long-run option: building outlines, landscape edges, facade contours. Custom CCT and length — request a factory quote.

Applications

  • Cove, wall-wash & perimeter lighting — Coves, recesses, wall-wash details and ceiling perimeters where a continuous, uniform line of light is required.
  • Showroom & hospitality display lighting — Shelving, display cases, reception desks and signage backlighting in shops, showrooms and hospitality spaces.
  • Kitchen & wardrobe under-cabinet lighting — Kitchen, wardrobe and furniture task lighting where the strip stays hidden and only the light is seen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key specifications of 4991?

4991: 3528, 90, 36V, 12mm PCB, 3 oz copper FPCB, cuttable 9LEDs/100mm, IP20/IP65/IP67/IP68, CRI Ra≥80. Full photometric data, wiring diagrams and test reports are available in the downloads section of this page.

What makes the construction of this constant current IC LED strip different?

It is built as a constant current IC LED strip on 3 oz copper FPCB with a cutting unit of 9LEDs/100mm and an LED pitch of 11.11mm, so it holds its electrical and mechanical performance where standard strips fail.

Can DENO customise this constant current IC LED strip for a project?

Yes. DENO manufactures the C.C. SMD Strips (IC Regulated) series as an OEM and ODM supplier: reel length, colour temperature, CRI grade, PCB width, waterproofing and private labelling can all be specified. Request a quote for lead time and project pricing.

Does a constant current LED strip really eliminate voltage drop?

Voltage still drops along the copper, but the per-segment constant current IC holds LED current fixed until the local voltage falls below its dropout point. Brightness therefore stays even end to end, and power can be injected at one end, both ends or any mid point of the run.

When should you use a 36V LED strip instead of 24V?

Choose 36V when a single run exceeds what a 24V LED strip can feed within a 3 percent voltage drop. At the same power per metre a higher bus voltage means lower current and roughly half the drop of 24V over the same distance, so corridors, facades and cove runs can be fed from one end with fewer power injection points.

What limits how long an LED strip run can be?

Voltage drop and conductor current, not the LED itself. A long run LED strip combines low watts per metre, 2 oz or thicker copper and a higher bus voltage such as 24V, 36V or 48V to reach 20 m or more from one feed while staying inside a 3 percent drop.

Constant Current LED Strip — Buyer Questions

What is a constant current LED strip?

A constant current LED strip carries a linear CC driver IC on the board that holds a fixed current through each segment regardless of the input voltage seen at that point. Brightness therefore stays flat along the run, instead of falling off with voltage drop the way a plain constant-voltage strip does.

Constant current vs constant voltage LED strip — which is better?

Constant voltage is cheaper and fine for short runs under 3 m. Constant current is the right choice whenever the run is long, the copper is thin, the input voltage is unstable, or the installation is camera-facing — the IC absorbs supply variation and keeps every metre at the same luminous flux.

Long LED Strip Lights — Buyer Questions

Do you supply extra long LED strip lights in 65.6 ft or 100 ft?

Yes. 65.6 ft (20 m) and 100 ft (30 m) are stock run lengths, and anything longer than 32 feet is supplied as one uncut board rather than two reels joined with a connector. Joints are the usual failure point on extra long LED strip lights, so removing them is the single biggest reliability gain on a large install.

Which long outdoor LED strip lights are rated for wet locations?

Long outdoor LED strip lights are built IP65 silicone-coated, IP67 sleeved or IP68 fully potted, with DENO WAP™ conformal coating that stays clear instead of yellowing under UV. For facade and perimeter work the run length also has to survive thermal cycling, so outdoor boards use 3 oz copper and a wider PCB to spread heat.

Can long LED light strips be cut to an exact length for a room or kitchen?

Yes. Cut units run from 12.5 mm to 100 mm depending on voltage and density, so a run can be trimmed to a drawing dimension on site, and DENO also pre-cuts and pre-wires to length at the factory for room, cove and kitchen installations. Ask for the cut unit in the quote — it decides how closely the finished line matches the millwork.
