Overview
5050 Ultra-long RGBW LED Strip Light | 12mm | 24V | 60LEDs | 100mm/cut | #4905 is part of the DENO RGBW SMD Strips series, engineered around RGBW LED strip lights. Key specifications: 5050, 60, 24V, 12 PCB, 3oz copper FPCB, cuttable 6LEDs/100mm. Every reel is produced on DENO's roll-to-roll line with 99.9% pure copper FPCB and ships CE, UL and RoHS compliant for architectural, retail and hospitality projects. OEM and ODM configurations of length, colour temperature and waterproofing are available on request.
Description
Linear constant-current 5050 RGBW LED strip built for long architectural runs: one feed powers 20 m at 9.6 W/m (40 m from both ends), or 13 m at 14.4 W/m, with the same white and colour at the far end as at the feed. It removes the usual long-run problems: yellowing or dim far ends, a feed cable every 5 m, and leak-prone mid-run splices in outdoor neon or tube. Selected premium chips give clean, true red, green and blue plus a soft dedicated 3000K white, instead of the harsh colour of many unbranded chips. 12 mm 3oz copper PCB, 60 LEDs/m, cut every 100 mm, IP20 to IP68. DENO can adjust white CCT and protection for project supply.
Long-run RGBW strip: 20 m from one feed with no far-end colour shift.

Why this strip solders and fits differently
Linear constant current on every 100mm unit
No yellow or dim far end
Each 6-LED unit carries its own linear constant-current ICs, so LED current stays fixed as voltage falls along the run. White and colour at the far end match the feed end.
20m at 9.6W/m, 13m at 14.4W/m
Double it by feeding both ends
Standard 9.6W/m runs 20m (65.6ft) from one end and 40m from both ends. The 14.4W/m option runs 13m from one end. Fewer feed cables, junction points and drivers on site.
Soft, true colour from selected chips
Not the harsh colour of unbranded chips
Selected premium 5050 chips give clean red, green and blue plus a soft dedicated 3000K white channel, suited to hotel, retail and architectural projects worldwide. 12mm FPCB, 3oz copper, IP20 / IP65 / IP67 / IP68.
Four site problems #4905 removes
- Far end turns yellow or dim: linear CC ICs on every 100 mm unit hold LED current steady, so white and colour stay the same from the first metre to the last.
- A feed cable every 5 m: one feed covers 20 m at 9.6 W/m (40 m from both ends) — fewer cables, junction points, drivers and labour hours.
- Leaks at mid-run splices outdoors: a 20 m continuous waterproof run means no cut-and-reseal points inside neon or tube.
- Harsh, plasticky RGB colour: selected premium chips give clean, true red, green and blue plus a soft dedicated white.
How far one feed reaches
| Power option | Single-end feed | Both-ends feed |
|---|---|---|
| 9.6 W/m (standard) | 20 m (65.6 ft) | 40 m (131.2 ft) |
| 14.4 W/m (high output) | 13 m (42.7 ft) | 26 m (85.3 ft) |
Why we invest in the chip
Many unbranded 5050 RGB chips produce colour that looks hard and saturated-flat. DENO builds #4905 (and its RGB sibling #3665) with selected premium chips, so red, green and blue look clean and true, and the separate 3000K white channel gives a soft, comfortable white. Colour that suits hotel, retail, hospitality and architectural projects in every market.
One waterproof reel, every channel lit
DENO test data (IP20, 1 m sample): RGBW all channels 9.6 W/m 620 lm/m; White 3000K 235 lm/m; Red 70 lm/m; Green 265 lm/m; Blue 65 lm/m. Warranty: 5 years IP20 indoor / 3 years IP65, IP67, IP68 waterproof.

High-Power LED Strip: Heat Dissipation & Aluminum Channel Guide
At up to 19.2W/m, 4905 is a high-power SMD LED strip. Above roughly 14.4W/m the tape can no longer shed its own heat through the FPC alone — an aluminum channel is part of the luminaire, not an accessory.
Why high-wattage strips need a heat sink
- Aluminum conducts heat roughly 30× faster than the plastics, MDF or gypsum a strip is usually stuck to, so a bare high-power run traps heat under the tape.
- LED lifetime (LM-80 / TM-21) is driven by solder-point temperature Tc. Keeping Tc inside the datasheet limit — DENO strips are rated Tc ≤ 75°C — is what preserves the rated L70 lifetime and colour stability.
- Never run 14.4W/m or more coiled on the reel, inside a sealed plastic diffuser, or directly on wood, wallpaper or foam.
Sizing rule: FPC width vs channel inner width
- Channel inner width ≥ FPC width + 2mm. This strip is 12mm wide, so it needs at least 14mm of inner width.
- The 2mm clearance absorbs extrusion tolerance and lets the tape be seated or replaced without scraping the side walls or the wiring.
- A frosted or opal PC cover then diffuses the higher lumen output into an even, dot-free line instead of visible hot spots.

Recommended LED Channels
Mount this LED strip in a DENO LED aluminum profile for heat dissipation, physical protection and diffused, dot-free output.
This strip is 12mm wide, so it needs a channel with at least 14mm inner width (12mm + 2mm clearance). Every profile below meets that.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can an RGBW strip run 20 m from one feed without colour shift?
Linear constant-current ICs on every 100 mm unit hold LED current steady, and the 3oz copper PCB keeps losses low, so at 9.6 W/m the far end shows the same white and colour as the feed end over 20 m.
What are the maximum run lengths for #4905?
9.6 W/m: 20 m single-end, 40 m both-ends. 14.4 W/m: 13 m single-end, 26 m both-ends.
How many power feeds does #4905 save on a 40 m project?
A typical 24V constant-voltage RGBW strip is usually re-fed about every 5 m. #4905 covers 40 m with feeds only at the two ends, cutting cables, junction points and labour.
Is #4905 suitable for neon or waterproof tubing?
Yes. A 20 m continuous run slides into neon or clear tube with no mid-run splices, removing the most common water entry point. IP65, IP67 and IP68 versions are available.
Why do the colours look softer than other RGBW strips?
DENO uses selected premium chips. Many unbranded chips give a hard, garish red, green and blue; #4905 gives clean, true colour plus a soft dedicated 3000K white channel.
