DENO LED Lighting

LED Strip Quality Control & Reliability Testing

How DENO verifies LED strips in its Foshan facility: five QC gates from IQC to OQC, an EVERFINE HAAS-2000 integrating sphere, burn-in aging and reliability tests referenced to CIE, IEC, ASTM and ISO methods.

Five QC gates. Nothing ships without a release record.

DENO checks every LED strip at five gates inside the Deno Lighting (Foshan) Manufacturing Facility, operating under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Sampling plans, patrol intervals, burn-in duration and AQL levels are published only where a record exists.

  • IQC (incoming inspection): FPCB copper thickness, LED bin acceptance and silicone batch checks before material enters the line.
  • First article + AOI: first reel signed off; automated optical inspection screens placement, polarity and solder joints.
  • IPQC (in-process patrol): cut-point continuity, adhesive peel and electrical values on running reels.
  • Burn-in: finished reels are powered on aging racks before packing to screen early failures.
  • OQC (outgoing inspection): lot sampling per ISO 2859-1 covering appearance, photometry, labels and packaging.

Reliability laboratory: equipment dossier

Each station lists what it measures and the method it follows. Model numbers and ranges are published only where an equipment record exists.

  • Color consistency, the same white reel after reel: every batch is measured on the EVERFINE HAAS-2000 integrating sphere spectroradiometer for CCT, color tolerance (MacAdam SDCM), Ra, R9 and spectral distribution, referenced to CIE 013.3. TM-30 Rf / Rg availability and bin-control policy pending record.
  • Station 01 - Salt spray chamber: corrosion of connectors, end caps and metal parts, referenced to ASTM B117.
  • Station 02 - Industrial thermal oven: high-temperature exposure of strips and materials, referenced to IEC 60068-2-2.
  • Station 03 - UV weathering chamber: UV exposure of silicone and jacket materials, referenced to ISO 4892-2.
  • Station 04 - Burn-in aging room: powered aging of finished reels before packing.
  • Station 05 - Inspection microscope: solder joints, wire bonds and FPCB traces.
  • Station 06 - Tensile / peel force tester: lead-wire pull and adhesive peel force.
  • Station 07 - Torsion / twist tester: repeated twisting with continuity check.
  • Station 08 - Drop tester: packaged reel drop resistance.
  • Station 09 - Vibration tester: transport vibration endurance.

Quality control FAQ

  • Are finished LED strip reels burned in before shipping? Yes. Finished reels are powered on aging racks before packing to screen early failures; duration is recorded per lot.
  • What does the integrating sphere measure? The EVERFINE HAAS-2000 system measures luminous flux, efficacy, CCT, Ra, R9 and spectral power distribution, following CIE 013.3 colour rendering methodology.
  • Can I get a photometric test report for a specific model? Yes. HAAS-2000 reports are kept on file per product and are available on the product page or by request.
  • Which standards do the reliability tests reference? CIE 013.3, IEC 60068-2-2, ASTM B117, ISO 4892-2 and ISO 2859-1 sampling, inside an ISO 9001:2015 system.
